Managing ICT Software and Services Strategically (MITS)

General

The MITS program has been created to help ICT software and service companies develop winning strategies that seize the opportunities inherent in this uncertain business environment. The program achieves this by enabling the participating managers to:

  • Learn how to design and implement business unit strategies to prepare themselves for ongoing executive roles
  • Design and implement a strategy for a home company business unit to reinforce learning, to resolve key strategic issues faced by a selected business unit of their company and to deliver bottom-line impact for their company
  • Understand key industry issues to contribute to ongoing home company strategic debates - e.g. where and how to use 'off-shoring', who to differentiate in competion with new Asian entrants
  • Obtain an academic diploma to certify skills needed to advance in the company
  • Build a broader professional network for the benefit of both participants and the company. After program completion the participants can choose to become part of the SIMI Alumni Association (SAA), which consists of more than 800 members.

Course structure: 4 modules of 4-5 days + a one-day follow-up module in 2012.

Dates: First module starts 16 August 2010. Last module ends 10 February 2011.
