Linda Long, Ph.D., focuses on communication and has spent 35 years in this field. She worked as a Communication Consultant for McKinsey & Company for six years, and has had her own consulting/training/coaching firm for 16 years.
She has also taught Masters level management programs at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, the Jones School of Rice University in Houston, Texas and Goizueta Business School at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. She has taught undergraduate programs at The University of Houston and others.
Linda founded Strategic Communication Consulting in 1993. The firm has worked with clients ranging from major consultancies to non-profit organizations to Fortune 1000 companies on improving communications. While the firm's specialty is persuasive communications (including problem structuring, data synthesis leading to logical storylines, and execution in written, visual, and oral forms), she also consults and coaches in executive presence, team-building, and change communications.
Linda is the author of “The Power of Logic in Problem Solving and Communication”, which has been adopted by several prominent MBA programs, and “Decoding Presence: The Power of Great Communicators”.
